love, life, and the pursuit of liberation
I’m sitting in the Charlotte airport on a layover back from Dallas (Yes I just returned home from San Antonio on Monday; it’s been a long week). Today was my court hearing for my name change.
It’s done!! Me and my girls all have the same last name. To refresh your memory, I dropped my last name completely, keeping my original first and middle name.
To say I’m excited is an understatement. I’ve begun transitioning the students at the school where I work. On the first leg of my flight, I tried practicing a new signature.
Life and God is good!
Now to stumble my sleepy, dizzy self to board this plane.
Oh yeah, I MISS DALLAS TREMENDOUSLY. I thought the nostalgia longing would go away but it really hasn’t. A and I have begun some more serious talks about moving back. We shall see and I’m sure I’ll be writing more about it.
Last, “oh yeah.” I’m reading Mitch Albom’s “Have a Little Faith” and it’s simply beautiful.
Until next time..
