love, life, and the pursuit of liberation
I’m still having contributions pouring in!
This one is from my awesome wife 🙂
1. a healthy kid. because i think a lot of times, as parents, we take this so for granted – like it’s some type of given. but it’s not. i’m thankful that our child is healthy.
2. loving family. i appreciate the wife for always being there for me, through thick and thin. i feel like we often play different roles of encouraged and encourager, but in the end, we make it through situations.
3. summer time. yes, i’m spending 7 days of it teaching summer school, but overall, i’m thankful for the time off. the time free – to sit and watch and generally have no place to be. and that 7 days of teaching summer school is raking in quite a generous stipend, of which part will go to apple for a more heartfelt piece of gratatude from my students – an iphone 4. because what better to dial parents from in the fall? at least i can smile while telling them their kid is f-ing up again and hasn’t done any homework all week!
4. a new place to call home. sure, we aren’t 1000% on the where, but we do know that we have to move out of this place, because thank gesus, our extra late notice to vacate was accepted and they have already found new victims for our apartment. on to bigger spaces! with storage! and a living room that does not double as a playroom!
