love, life, and the pursuit of liberation

monday appreciation #8

hey readers,

In case you didn’t notice (I know at least one of you did), I didn’t do my Monday Appreciation last week. Last week was HARD and perhaps that should have been all the more reason to do it, but I didn’t and I’m attempting to move forward.

Today, I’m appreciative for my wife in lessons of perseverance. I’m hoping that the light I’m seeing at the end of the tunnel is the dawning of positive change and not just the lights of the next train trying to run me over.

Today, I’m appreciative of this summer break to give me an opportunity to REST.

Today, I’m appreciative of having a new job that starts on Wednesday and that I’ll be going to a conference next week to Vegas with said job.

Today, I’m appreciative that despite life’s many hurdles, I haven’t given up.

Today, I’m appreciative to Twitter which allows me to vent and has been a vehicle of good conversations with friends.

Today, I’m appreciative of the breeze and the break in the tropically humid and HOT weather the east coast (and the whole country it seems) has been enduring.

Today, I’m appreciative of my friend’s many successes!! I’m not going to list their government names but I’ll list their successes– they know who they are!

A (not the wife or kid)- for tackling personal challenges and opening the door for an even better year

L- for meeting all of his professional goals and inspiring me!

M- for stepping out on faith and starting a new job

J- for stepping out on faith and supporting her honey even though I know it’s hard

LG- for stepping out on faith, starting a new job in a new city

You all keep me going in ways that you can’t imagine. I am claiming that this week will be an amazing one!

Despite the ups and downs, life is still good. Your gratefulness shows that. Keep on keeping on. 🙂

yay! I love $%&#!! Wifebian is a 4 year veteran. I know it can feel cultish and insular and there are some mind-blowing racial politics to process, but the program is also fantastic, amazing and effective. have so much fun, be so inspired 🙂
