love, life, and the pursuit of liberation

input requested!

For my bloggers:

Do any of you maintain two (or more) separate blogs? If so, how do you manage them both?

I’m interested in starting a more specific niche blog, but don’t one to lapse for the other. Any advice would be welcome!

For those of you that aren’t bloggers, but lurkers or commenters:

What keeps you coming back to certain blogs (or even this blog)?

I’ve tried to keep multiple blogs and, as long as time permitted, I was successful. The thing is making sure they’re different enough to where there’s no crossover from one to the other. The thing that keeps me going to certain blogs is the fact there’s relatable or interesting subject matter.

I only have one blog, which is mostly a journal ’cause i hardly ever get comments, but I digress.

what keeps me coming back to certain blogs is content that is interesting to me, interactive bloggers and updated info.

Thanks for this feedback. I’ve been evaluating my frequency and I see that for a good minute I had fallen off! I’m glad to be back 🙂

I read because it is interesting to me. in some cases I want insight, and I like readign different perspectives from people whose lives I may otherwise have none or little knowledge of

Well you know that I have two separate blogs, my style blog and my Tatiana’s blog. It is easy to keep them separate as they are completely different however occasionally one of us makes an appearance on the other’s blog, lol. I find that I spend more time on my blog because I am an OOTD (outfit of the day) blogger primarily as well as Tatiana is so boringly typical right now, that I fear people would be bored with what I would write.

Don’t underestimate your audience! I love when you post about Tati, but I understand that maintaing two blogs and your household is a whole lot already 🙂 But trust that we don’t get bored with the Empress’s blog.

Like previous posters have said, I prefer blogs that are frequently updated, honest, and something that I can personally relate to.

I have kept multiple blogs in the past, but it was very difficult (apparently there are only 24 hours in a day. Who knew?) But one blog was very specific (workout/fitness/weightloss) and I knew my other readership would be bored to tears.

My Reader is primarily keeps me coming back to a blog.. I know when someone has updated because my Reader tells me so. So if someone doesn’t update for a really long time, I might not notice for a long time, but am thrilled when they finally do. What keeps me subscribed to a blog (because sometimes I do UNsubscribe from a blog) is the personal relationship with the blogger, and how I feel about them. I might not KNOW you IRL, for instance, but I feel like I have a friendship with you.. I care about what happens to you, I celebrate your successes and grieve your losses and pray for you when you’re struggling. I’m in your corner. xoxo

Corey, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Many of the people I follow are my “friends in my head” to quote Wendy Williams. I’ve also made some great friendships via blogland and really value how much (or little) people put themselves out there.

Like you, I also use my Reader, though I need to clean it out of the people who update like once a year!

Wait, hold up. There are only 24 hours in a day?????? I didn’t get that memo. 😉
