maybe miracles do happen

Back in December I lost my phone. The suckiness of the situation was that I KNEW I lost it in a meeting I was attending and tried to look for the phone before I even left the room. I went back and searched the room twice, including packing the baby and wife up at damn near midnight to drive back into NYC to look for it. The GPS on the phone was giving me an approximate location that coincided with where I lost the phone. A even went back the next day to search the room (there was nothing in the room but a conference table and a few chairs) but had no luck either. I never found the phone, no one turned it in to security, so I was basically SOL.

Tell me why I happened to be on my school’s e-bulletin board and someone reported finding a phone in that room on Thursday, a full month and then some since I lost it! I called security today, described it and sure enough it was my phone!! I’m ELATED because I truly loved my phone. The iPhone4 is sooo much better than the 3Gs that I had to buy from ebay. Plus, this means that I can sell the old phone (in the meantime we found A’s old iphone 3Gs so that’ll be the back-up in case we need one) and get myself something nice..

I’m choosing to take this as a sign that 2011 will be a year of miracles.

Wow! That’s a great story. I do hope it’s foretelling of how the rest of the year will go. 🙂
