a quickie

A is back in the hospital. her incision started gushing yesterday (yes, the day after she was released). so we went back to the ER and they admitted her. today, they’re opening up the whole thing, taking out all the infection and fluid. then, they’re going to pack it as opposed to stitching her back up. 

this is the most i want to see an ER EVER again.

on a brighter note, my mom was worried so she’s flying in sunday night and staying for the week.

also, the head of my school system (we’re a consortium of charter schools) called me just now asking that i represent my campus at a “branding” meeting they’re having with some professional. i’m honored to be thought of (my campus director is going to be out of town and is sending me in his stead) and it’s something more to add to my resume. my director knows that it’s very likely that i’m leaving and he’s trying to get me to stay, and has even asked me what position would i be willing to stay for. though i said dean of instruction and he was open to that, i’m not gonna stay. NYC HERE I COME RETURN. i’m trying to make forward moves, not lateral ones. and grad school will afford me that opportunity.
